MemoryStash is a completely offline app. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All your memory palaces, PEG lists, mnemonic notes, and quiz progress are stored exclusively on your device and never leave it.

Privacy Policy

1. No Data Collection

  • MemoryStash does not collect any personal information.
  • No name, email address, phone number, or account is required to use the app.
  • We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or analytics data.
  • No usage statistics or crash reports are sent to any server.

2. Local Storage Only

  • All content you create — including memory palaces, PEG associations, mnemonic notes, and quiz results — is stored entirely on your device.
  • Data is never uploaded to any cloud service or remote server.
  • Uninstalling the app will permanently remove all stored data from your device.

3. No Internet Permission

  • MemoryStash does not request internet access permission.
  • The app functions fully without a network connection at all times.

4. App Features & Data

  • PEG System: Your number-image associations are saved locally.
  • Mnemonics: Custom mnemonic phrases and keyword links are stored on-device.
  • Memory Palace: Locations, items, and routes you build are kept locally.
  • Quizzes: Quiz questions, answers, and scores are generated and stored on your device only.

5. Third-Party Services

  • MemoryStash does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or social media platforms.
  • No data is shared with any third party under any circumstances.

6. Children's Privacy

  • Because MemoryStash collects no data whatsoever, it is safe for users of all ages including children under 13.
  • The app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by design.

7. Device Permissions

  • MemoryStash only requests storage permission to save your data locally.
  • No camera, microphone, contacts, or location permissions are requested.

8. Security

  • Because all data remains on your device, security is governed by your device's built-in protections (screen lock, encryption).
  • We recommend enabling device encryption and a screen lock to protect your locally stored data.

9. Changes to This Policy

  • If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL and the effective date will be revised.
  • Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
